25th Anniversary of the Establishment of Three Wheels
Once again I am writing with great pleasure to invite you to the 148th London Eza to be held at Three Wheels at 1:00 pm on Sunday 8th December 2019. Time flies by so fast and this meeting will in fact be the final one for this year.
A quarter of a century has passed since Three Wheels was first established here in London in 1994, in answer to my master, Venerable Chimyo Takehara’s, fervent prayer for international peace and spiritual exchange between our countries. As a result of all your help and support right up until today, Three Wheels has continued to develop slowly and steadily over the intervening years. Looking back over these twenty-five years, Reverend Kenshin Ishii will deliver a presentation under the title Spiritual Encounters in the history of Three Wheels.
This December the Eza will also mark the first anniversary of the death of my wife, Hiroko, “Shakyamuni’s Disciple, Good Nun of Wonderful Seed”. Please join us at this now annual service to remember Hiroko who, surrounded by the pure and selfless love of all her Dharma friends, departed for the Pure Land quietly and peacefully on the eighth of December 2018. Hiroko left so quickly but with quiet smiles of gratitude to you all, having planted so many wonderful seeds of nenbutsu in the soil of this country.
As always with these events, it would be greatly appreciated if those who are able to would bring along some little dish or confection to share with others.
