No.33 On Worship

The true essence of “worship” lies in bowing one’s head in humility. Once I am awakened to the reality of my existence and find myself impelled to bow to those around me, I am surprised to find that all of them already have been bowing to me. It is with this sense of wonder that I humbly “worship.”

「礼拝」は頭をさげること。やがて頭を下げざるをえない自分に気づいたとき、あらゆるものから頭を下げていただいていたことに驚いて「礼拝」する。
