Although the days remain cold, the increasing daylight reminds us that spring is on its way. I hope this message finds you all in good health and spirits.
I am delighted to invite you to the upcoming 174th London Eza, which will be held on Sunday, 23rd February 2025.
At this time of year, Three Wheels is usually busy preparing for Spring School, an annual religious and educational session for young students from Japan, held from the end of March to early April. However, this year is a little different. Only four university students will be arriving in early February and staying for over a month that gives you the opportunity to meet them at the London Eza.
During the Eza, I will deliver a talk on the meaning of listening to the Dharma to reaffirm the fundamental purpose of studying and practicing the Nenbutsu. I hope this reflection will not only inspire the students but also benefit all of us who have been involved in Three Wheels’ activities over the years.
After the talk and discussion, you will have the chance to hear speeches from the students. I hope their reflections will capture their spiritual growth and insights gained through dialogue with others during the Spring School.
I look forward to welcoming you to this meaningful gathering.
With deepest respect and gratitude,
Kenshin ISHII
