Dear Friends,
I am delighted to invite you to the third annual “Remembering John” ceremony to commemorate the life of Professor John White.
As many of you know, John was one of the founders of Three Wheels, and he dedicated the last 30 years of his life to developing the organisation by supporting the former Director, Rev. Kemmyo Sato, and raising many younger generations, including myself.
The third “Remembering John” meeting will take place at Three Wheels on November 3rd at 10:00 a.m., with many online participants from Japan.
John’s 100th birthday was on October 4th this year, and we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Three Wheels on December 8th at 13:00.
We are able to practise Buddha Dharma at Three Wheels because of John’s passion and foresight, which he shared together with Rev. and the late Mrs Sato.
Consequently, “Remembering John” presents an exceptional opportunity for a large number of us to gain a deeper understanding of his determined energy and dedication by reading one of his lectures delivered at Shogyoji Temple.
I very much hope you will be able to set aside time to join us on Sunday, November 3rd, to listen to John’s talk.
We look forward to welcoming many of you.
Palms together in Nenbutsu.
Warm regards,
Reverend Kenshin Ishii
